Facing the future: Sajid Javid attends Care England conference Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid, continues to engage with the care sector, as part of the wider reform agenda for health and social care.
Tweeting after a keynote conference speech this week, he said: "Great to speak at the Care England: Facing the Future conference. The pandemic has taken us to a crossroads where we can no longer ignore the choices that need to be made in social care. That’s why I'm focused on reform and recovery."
Guidance round up: PPE portal and care home updates [Image created by freepik.com] The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), in partnership with NHS Supply Chain, has implemented a new personal protective equipment (PPE) platform to allow continued access to free PPE and related items for eligible users until 31 March 2023.
All eligible users will have received or be receiving an invite over the coming weeks and months to ensure migration across to the new platform.

A survey has launched to help improve our understanding of local provider markets and those currently receiving care .
